A fire is a very dangerous thing! Make sure you and your family
have a fire escape plan in place before you actually need it!
A Smoke Detector Saves Lives!
When was the last time you checked its batteries?
Check all your smoke detectors periodically and make sure you replace the
batteries at least every six months or when you hear the chirping sound.
You really shouldn't smoke at all for obvious health reasons but if you actually believe
that you are immune from cancer, heart disease, emphysema and other smoking related ills, at least, worry about burning to
death!
If you quit smoking now it will greatly increase your chances of improving your health!
But if you insist on smoking...
Never Smoke In Bed!
Don't Smoke When You Are Drinking!
Always Use Large Deep Ash Trays!
Empty All Ash Trays Frequently!
Never Dump An Ash Tray in the Trash Before Wetting All Butts!

Flammables Away From Children!
Children are naturally curious about fire. Just keep an eye on them.
If you notice that a child repeatedly plays with fire or just seems to have a morbid fascination with fire, seek professional
help as soon as possible!
Be very careful with candles! Never leave a child in a room with a lighted unattended
candle.
Be aware of overused electrical outlets! Never overload your electrical
outlets! Be special careful with extension cords that have exposed wires!
Try keeping one or more working fire extinguishers in your home!
In Winter months, never use your stove or oven as a substitute for a furnace or space
heater!
Always keep a space heater at least 3 feet away from anything that might catch fire...
including the wall!
